Studer A-827 Cat 3 Errors (Page 2)

Cat 3 :
Non-fatal -
Operation can continue. Error messages disappear when
the error has disappeared. Messages can be acknowledged by pressing STORE,
even though error may still persist.

ERR: INCORRECT
INERTIA
Cause: The last three inertia calcs supplied incorrect values.
Check for binding on motors and and rollers.
Check MAX REEL DIAMETER value.

ERR: TAPE NOT
IDENTIFIED
ERR: MASTER NOT
IDENTIFIED
ERR: AUDIO NOT
IDENTIFIED
Cause: Unknown error
Cycle power.
* Re-seat RAM (IC8) on MASTER MPU 1.820.784, doing so will lose tape
tension data and key programming data!

Cat 3 :

ERR: WRONG HEAD OR
TAPE SORT
Cause: Insufficient memory for reading in audio parameters.
Reduce the audio parameters to a total of 48 channels (e.g. 24 channels
tape type A+B or 24 channels + 16 channels + 8 channels, etc.) ???????

ERR: NO DATA FOUND
ON TAPE
Cause: The audio data settings are not readable on tape.
Check the input signal level and shape, and the tape speed.
The red LED on the COMMUNICATIONS CONTROLLER 1.820.718 should be lit.

Cause: The audio data settings read from tape do not agree with the machine
data.
Re-load the data.

Behebung: KopftrŠger installieren oder Head Assembly Identifier PCB prŸfen.

WARN: REFERENCE
FREQUENCY WRONG
Does not attain the selected nominal tape speed in play mode.
Cause: The frequency of the external varispeed reference signal is outside
the valid range (6.4kHz to 14.4kHz), or the signal is missing.
