The two new Alvarez-Yairi Fusion Series acoustics are the WY1RD and the DY88BL. Both selling for $1,949 MSRP, they feature cutaway folk body styles with abalone sound hole rings and body bindings. The WY1RD has a flamed maple top, back and sides and is finished in their Transparent Red. The DY88BK goes with a flamed maple top but mahogany back and sides with a Transparent Blue finish.

Both instruments feature the System 500 MKII pre-amp and simple three-band equalizer. Besides having + or - 15dB of range, there are internal trim pots that allow the user to fine tune the high and low frequency response curves.
