Gretsch has ten, professional one-piece brass snare drums. Made in the U.S.A., there are two shell sizes available: 5X14 and 6X14. Most of the sonic characteristics and differences are determined by the shell manufacturing technique and the hardware finishing processes.

Black Brass versions are made with a choice of chrome or Broadkaster (sic) Gunmetal Gray hardware. Gunmetal Gray and all white brass drums come standard with Broadkaster Gunmetal Gray hardware while the polished brass shell drums come with chrome hardware. These drums are available in either eight or ten lug configurations. Retail prices range from $695 to $780.
