The CDR80 Silver Bulk is the newest range of Advanced Media Products from HHB Communications. The 80-minute discs have six more minutes of music recording time or 700Mb (standard 74-minute CD's have 650Mb) space when used as data storage. They come unbranded in 50-disc "cake packs" of 250 discs in a master carton. Certainly these discs conform to Orange Book specifications and they cost the same as HHB's 74-minute CDR74 Silver bulk discs.
Extensive testing indicates that the second generation phthalocyanine dye used outperforms other CD-R media dyes in resistance to sunlight. Accelerated aging tests show that these discs will have up to 200 years of archive life.
