The new ULX Series of wireless systems is made up of the ULX Standard and ULX Professional systems. Both systems operate between 554 and 865mHz with up to 1440 selectable frequencies arranged in pre-programmed groups. Groups allows for up to 20 systems to operate simultaneously.
Both the ULX Standard and Pro receivers have Shure's microprocessor-controlled Predictive Diversity to anticipate and avoid signal drop outs and LCD displays showing channel and group assignment, battery level and adjacent TV channels. The ULXP4 professional receiver can scan all frequencies and locate the least busy with maximum number of compatible channels. The ULXP4 also has frequency and volume lockout, indicators for signal strength, a rack mount kit, removable 1/2 wavelength antenna and all-metal construction. The ULXS4 is the simpler standard receiver with 1/4 wave antennas and plastic case.
Shure makes a complete line of transmitters powered by single nine-volt batteries giving up to eight hours of performance. There is a bodypack transmitter for guitarists or headworn mic users and a line of Shure's popular dynamic mics including the SM58®, SM87, Beta 58A®, Beta 87A, Beta 87C, and Beta 53 all with built-in transmitters.
