Ultimate Support's Thunder and Lightning Series booms and mic stands have many unique features over other, average stands. The Thunder booms are adjustable in four ways using a single knob: front-to-back, up-and-down, side-to-side and rotationally. The Lightning stands have the Flash base where squeezing a lever opens and closes all three legs in a single umbrella-like motion. Releasing the same lever locks the legs in place in either the open or closed position. As with all Ultimate Support Systems mic stands, an ergonomic clutch makes height adjustment easy and comfortable. Thunder and Lightning Series products were introduced at the 2003 Winter NAMM Show and targeted for shipment in late Spring. They are now sold in packages or as separate pieces.
