The JBL EON 206P is a three-piece system consisting of a pair of matching passive loudspeakers each with a 6.5-inch woofer and a 1-inch neodymium, black nylon dome tweeter. Both speakers have 36-mm pole mounting sockets for projecting sound to a wide area. For ease of transport, the two speakers mate to a third center-section piece that has a powered six-channel mixer with a separate 80-watt power amp to drive each speaker. The EON 206P features a maximum SPL output of 113 dB with a nominal coverage pattern of 100 x 80 degrees.

Thoughtfully, the center section's integrated mixer has two balanced mic/line input channels with XLR/1/4-inch Combi jacks (Channels 1&2), two L/R stereo inputs with both RCA and 1/4-inch jacks (Channels 3&4), and (Channels 5&6) is a single 1/8-inch stereo mini jack for connecting an iPhone, CD player or any other personal music player.

All six inputs have separate mix level controls with channels 1&2 equipped with a mic/line switch, a two-band (high/low) equalizer, and individual reverb (effect) send controls. There are also separate stereo monitor output jacks with volume control for sending the EON 206P's mix to a recording system, stage monitors, mixer, or external sub woofer. Lastly, the JBL EON 206P has a master volume controls and a yellow "Limit" LED to indicate maximum output.
