Sound Performance Labs' Phonitor se is their entry-level headphone amp that uses their high-voltage Voltair amplifier technology--the same as used in their more expensive Phonitor x and Phonitor xe models. Also like those models, there is also a Phonitor se model with a built-in SPL DAC.
The Phonitor se has unbalanced stereo RCA input jacks for analog sources and the DAC768xs model has three digital inputs: S/PIDF, optical light pipe plus an USB B jack.
On either model are a single large aluminum volume control and a single headphone jack that provides up to 5-watts per channel into 250-ohms--good for any headphones even power hungry electrostatic models.
Phonitor se has a retail price of $1,190 MSRP while the Phonitor se with DAC768xs sells for $1,590 MSRP.
