Pictured are the cherry satin oil finished bongos from the California series of congas and bongos from Gon Bops. Also available in a natural satin oil finish, these are made from North American Red Oak and the hand-made bongos utilize a special beveled bearing edge that assures superior clarity and attack.

Claw hoop hooks are widely spaced on either side of the drums for a more comfortable seated position. The optional BPAD1 Bongo Pads can be added for a firmer but more effortless grip. The California Series feature a hybrid Classic Contour steel top hoop and a die-cast bottom rim hoop for additional strength. You can choose between a lacquer custom or lacquer specialty finish and a unique custom head combination. Choose between horsehide on the 7-inch Macho and cowhide on the 8.5-inch Hembra.
