Design for club and stage work, both the C5 and D5 Series mics have a hi-tech look and industrial feel--they are made using a rugged zinc alloy die-cast housing and other high quality materials so as to adhere to top durability standards. To protect the capsule and minimize handling noise, both feature a dent-resistant spring steel wire mesh grille cap and an integrated, patented internal shock absorber system.
The D5 dynamic uses the new Laminate VarimotionT™ diaphragm technology for a smoother frequency response and higher gain-before-feedback. The D5 is also available in a switched model, the D5 S (pictured), which features an On/Off switch on the body. The C5 condenser model features a 24-carat gold-sputtered housing that protects the condenser capsule against moisture and humidity plus, for increased intelligibility, a removable acoustical Presence Boost adapter. Other totally pro niceties all three mics come with are gold-plated, corrosion-free XLR output connectors, a vinyl carrying bag and stand adapter.
