BBE Sound's Soul Vibe is an analog guitar pedal that emulates the sound of the timeless Uni-Vibe™ pedal made popular in the late '60's and early '70's by Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour and Robin Trower. The effect is a swirling almost phasey sound much like a rotary speaker makes but much more pronounced and colorful.
The unit is decorated in a 'Swinging '60's' Pop art style and has controls for both Speed (of the swirling) and Depth (amount of effect). Interesting to note is that the unit uses an opto isolator circuit for consistent and true hardwire bypass switching. I liked the blue LED indicator for active status (in case your amp is off) and another that pulses at the rate you have the Speed control set. I also liked the easy-to-access battery compartment.
