With version 3, DrumCore matures into a superior musical instrument. DrumCore 3 is both a loop player with library plus a MIDI drum machine with samples that match all the constituents of the loop recordings. Major additions to DrumCore 3 are: a pretty Sunburst colored user interface, over twice as much content and most important to me, it is now also a plug-in for AU, RTAS, and VSTi host DAWs!
Key to DrumCore 3 are all the great drummers recorded playing (mostly) two bar drum patterns you can freely audition and hear the transition from one groove to another using Queue Play. Drummer performances included are: Ben Smith (Heart), John Bishop (Ernie Watts), Terry Bozzio (Jeff Beck, Zappa), Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver), Tony Braunagel (Bonnie Raitt), Ned Douglas (Dave Stewart), Sly Dunbar (Bob Marley), Michael Shrieve (Santana), Alan White (John Lennon, Yes), Matt Cameron (Soundgarden), John Tempesta (Rob Zombie, Testament, Helmet), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction), Matt Cameron (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam), Lonnie Wilson (Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts), Luis Conte (Clapton, Sergio Mendes) Zoro (Lenny Kravitz) and Seattle jazz drummer Gregg Keplinger.
Even more drummer content is available via "DrummerPack" expansion libraries. Also now included is the TempestaPack II and Urban GT expansion packs. Your process would be to audition each two bar sections and then drag and drop them into the time line of your session to build a song. Drag and drop export of audio and MIDI is supported with all popular music/recording applications (including Acid®, Cubase®, DP®, GarageBand, Live, Logic, Pro Tools®, Reaper, Sonar®, Traction®, etc.
I have been having blast with DrumCore 3 at my Tones 4 $ Studios installed in my Pro Tools rig. I like the way all the kits are recorded and the LiveDrummer technology provides greater realism for drum rolls and cymbal performances. The DrumCore Toolkit is a standalone application that can be used for importing your audio and MIDI loop libraries as well as for building drumkit using WAV or AIFF files.
DrumCore v3 sells for $199 MSRP and upgradeable for $50. Easier to use and more immediate then other drum software, I highly recommend DrumCore 3! Much more at: www.submersiblemusic.com
