Peavey Butcher Guitar Amp Peavey's Butcher™ guitar amplifier is a 100-watt, all-tube head that is versatile, classic and, when push comes to shove, produces a brutal British tone.

The Butcher has two channels with high and low gain inputs that use five 12AX7s in the preamp section and feed four EL34 power amp tubes. Both the Clean and Crunch channels feature independent three-band EQs, plus master volume and preamp gain controls. Both channels also have a separate, footswitchable gain boost and the Crunch channel with a 12-way Punch selector for adjusting the low-end attack of the amplifier--a handy feature that helps match the head to any speaker enclosure.

The power amp section has two preset and switchable master volumes useful for solo boosts plus a patented global Presence control jumps up the extreme high frequencies for extra cut.

You also get Peavey's MSDI™ microphone simulating XLR direct out interface that will augment your usual cabinet miking by allowing the amp's signal to be directly recorded into Pro Tools or your studio's console. Additional controls include a line out with level control; an active effects loop with send and return level control; impedance selector (16, 8, or 4-ohms), half-power switch; and a tube bias adjustment jack.

The Peavey Butcher amplifier sells for $1,499 MSRP, includes a four-button footswitch and is made in the U.S.A. with a 5-year warranty. Much more at: Peavey Butcher Amp.
