Audio-Technica PRO 400 UHF Wireless System
by Barry Rudolph |
There are four microphone models/systems in the 400 Series each tailored for a specific type of public performance or music artist. Audio-Technica has "personalized" wireless microphones with these good choices of all new UHF band models.
The PRO 451G system, at $550, is a wireless system for guitar or bass players and consists of the ATW-T51 UniPak Transmitter with the AT-GCW guitar input cable. The PRO 451H system, priced at $640, is a headworn mic system for hands-free vocals by active performers like aerobics teachers or drummers and again uses the same UniPak Transmitter with the PRO 8HEcW hypercardioid dynamic mic. For business presentations, all-around public yaking and theater events, the AT831cW cardioid condenser lavalier and the UniPak make up the PRO 451L Lavalier system costing $640. Finally selling for $579, the PRO 452 system uses the ATW-T52 handheld unidirectional microphone with integral transmitter for on-stage singers or master of ceremonies. All transmitters feature dual-power battery save switches and the UniPak transmitters have input cables with locking connectors that prevent bonehead mistakes like when your guitar player goes "unplugged" in the middle of a solo. All four systems come with high impact carrying cases and the PRO-R4 true diversity receiver that operates in the interference-resistant UHF radio band. Audio-Technica is at 330-686-2600.
