The newest in the OM Series of pro vocal mics is the OM-2. All Audix microphones are said to have a rich, natural vocal sound with exceptional clarity and detail. Good off-axis sound rejection would allow this dynamic mic to operate feedback-free in higher sound level situations. The OM-2 has a tough spring-steel grill ball, an E-coat finish, unbreakable nylon mic clip, one-piece inner pop filter and a carrying pouch. Sonically, the mic adds a bit of warmth in the mid-bass and a slight boost in the mid-range making the mic good for live vocal work. Technical specs are: sensitivity is 71.5dB; frequency response is rated at 50Hz to 16kHz; weight is 10.5oz; impedance is a nominal 250 ohms and max SPL is 140dB.
