Guitar Songs is a way to learn guitar by playing along with a specially designed CD-ROM. The disc will work on either your MAC or PC and features guest appearances by Peter Frampton and Heart's guitarist Roger Fisher.
Using your computer's sound card and microphone, you can easily tune up with the onboard tuner and then listen and play along to any of the 20 different current rock, country, folk and blues songs included. You then have the ability to choose the guitar track only so you can really hear and microscopically learn it correctly. You can also mute the guitar track and play your version along with the backing drums, bass, keys and vocals. There is a metronome but the system will also track your tempo and adjust accordingly. I also like the recording feature that lets you record your guitar part along with the band while the animated fretboard displays fingerings in real time.
