Evans Drumheads has two new bass drumheads and a new Aramid Fiber snare drumhead. The bass drumheads are the EQ1 and EQ3 coated white resonant heads and also the G1 clear and coated heads. Both EQ1 and 3 are coated white heads that sound the same as the black version and come at a time when white drum heads are getting popular again. The EQ1 has a dry vent while the EQ3 has a five-inch offset mic hole and both are available for 18 to 26-inch drums. The G1, in both clear and coated, replaces the Evans' Uno 58 bass heads and also comes in 18 to 26-inch sizes.
Evans Rock AF snare head is made of Aramid fiber...the same fiber used in bullet-proof vests and yatching sails. Similar to the marching drum heads, the Rock AF's have a fine, textured surface and no internal flap. While these new heads will take loads of punishment, they are lightly coated to create a warmer tone for softer brush work. The Rock AF's are available in 13 and 14-inch sizes.
