Gemini BPM-500 DJ Mixer

The BPM-500 is a rack-mounted stereo pre-amp mixer with LED Beat monitor. For the DJ, the 500 combines a full featured mixer with a digital beats per minute (BPM) display to show the tempos of two different records so you can get them in sync for smooth cross-fading.

On the mixer side, the 500 has a four channel mixer with three phono inputs, eight line and three mic inputs including a front panel DJ mic input. I liked the "Extreme Cut" feature where the low, mids and highs of each channel can be radically modified during mixing. Speaking of mixing and cutting, the recessed crossfader is removable (for when you wear it out) and assignable.

You also get functions like: talkover; loop inputs and outputs; high, mid and low EQ on each input; master and balance output controls; and balanced and unbalanced master output jacks.
