GuitarPort is an interface for your electric guitar and a Windows PC. That doesn't sound that exciting unless you realize that you will be playing along with tracks of your choice: either your own recordings or from a huge library of original and classic guitar songs by way of your GuitarPort On-line membership. Hundreds of loops and grooves from 12 bar blues to Country classics to hardcore and alternative to Jazz fusion songs were recorded using famous musicians like Simon Phillips, Leland Sklar, Gregg Bissonette, Tom Brechtlein, Roscose Beck, Neil Larsen and Jason Bonham. All of these tracks are controlled from GuitarPort's software either on-line or off-line, if your connection happens to be slow.
Just plug into the GuitarPort and dial up your sound with the same technology as Line 6's POD, Amp Farm and Echo Farm standalone units. Once you have chosen your amp sound and effects, you'll set up your own personal mix of your guitar and your own CDs, MP3s or GuitarPort's on-line jam-along tracks.
