Sony Voice File Digital Recorders
by Barry Rudolph |
Sony's new Voice File line of digital recorders will help you remember stuff, yes it even remembers that you don't need any tape because you don't. One of four different models, the ICD-V21 Voice Balloon priced at $89.95 uses an integrated circuit (IC), or chip to store audio instead of an analog cassette. The advantages are legion: no tape to tangle, lose or wear out; full random access instantly to any message by way of a file name displayed on an LCD readout; small size and on some models, voice activated recording and alarm warnings for time-sensitive messages.
The Voice Balloon, shaped like a balloon, holds up to ten minutes of your own personal diatribes that can be divided into 99 separate messages each with its own file name. Other features on the higher priced models include: the ability to transfer voice files to and from your home PC, additional memory for extra amounts of spew, and Internet connectivity. For much more about all of this you should contact Sony Electronics Inc., 1 Sony Drive, Park Ridge, New Jersey 07656-8002. Call them at 800-222-SONY or www.sony.com |
