Yamaha Beech Drums Yamaha Drums' Absolute Series gets a boost with the Beech Custom Absolute series, a new option for creating custom high-end kits. You can mix and match maple, birch and beech wood shells within the series to customize each drum to your preference. The Beech Series includes: 100-percent beech shells; 6-ply, 7.5mm thick tom and snare drums; and an 8-ply, 10mm bass drum shell. Also included are triple-flanged DynaHoops on the toms and snares, and chrome, one-bolt lug casings that allows the drums to resonate freely for a more open sound.

Toms come with Remo Clear Emperor heads, while bass drums get Remo Powerstroke 3 heads. Matching wood snare drums are available in two sizes: 14 in. x 5 1/2 in. and 14 in. x 7 in. Finishes and colors are: Cherry Wood, Solid Black, and Vintage. Finishes unique to Beech Custom include Earth, See-Thru Violet, Royal Metallic Blue and White Marine Pearl.
