The Marquis JM60 follows on the bigger JM150 and JM250 Millennium series amps with a smaller, lighter and less expensive 60 watt combo. You get a 12AX7 tube driven preamp, fully programmable digital effects, and a single 12-inch 100 watt speaker with stereo operation possible by adding an external speaker. By way of amp modeling, the JM60 can do 18 popular tones such as Black Twin, Single Tweed, High Gain or Class A clean. In addition, you have traditional amp controls including: Master Volume Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble and Level.
Digital effects from the 24-bit DSP are: chorus, flange, phaser, tremolo, vibrato, pitch, delay, and three reverbs. Effect parameters speed, depth, delay, feedback and reverb all have dedicated front panel controls for quick and easy adjustment...a relief from bogus subpage menus and scrolling. Other good things: rear panel jacks for stereo effects and returns; headphone jack that doubles as direct output with speaker simulator; speaker on/off switch for midnight wood-shedding; and jacks for the optional J3 footswitch or J6 controller.
Suggested MSRP is $899. For a lot more, you should check with Johnson Amplification, a division of Harman Music Group, a subsidiary of Harman International at 8760 South Sandy Parkway, Sandy, UT 84070. Call them at 801-566-8800 FAX at: 801-566-7005
