Lakland Skyline Series Basses
Gear Lust Web Site | Go To The Music Connection "New Toys" Directory |
The Lakland Skyline Series Basses set a new standard for mid-price basses and are built to the same exacting specifications as Lakland's flagship basses. You get the same style, tone and playability at a price $2,000 less than the Lakland Joe Osborn Signature bass. The Skylines use flat-sawn maple for the necks versus quartersawn maple like the US-made basses.
The Skyline Series use a rosewood fretboard and dual access bridge as other Lakland high-end basses along with Bartolini pickups and preamps. Because all these instruments must undergo the same rigorous setup and quality control procedure demands of the Chicago-based manufacturer's staff luthiers, you can strap it on and play it right out of the box. Available in four and five string models, eight colors and priced from $999 to $1,799 MSRP.
