The MPX 500 is a stereo, 24-bit dual-channel processor with both balanced analog and S/PDIF digital I/O's. Using the Lexichip, the MPX 500 has 240 presets with stereo programs such as: Ambience, Plate, Chamber, Inverse, Tremolo, Rotary, Chorus, Flange, Detune, 5.5 seconds of delay, and echo. You can also set up two channels of separate mono effects with this two-channel unit.
There are four front panel controls...one for each of the four pages of effect parameters. This alternative to navigating submenus works for me! There is an easy Learn mode that allows MIDI patching of the front panel controls for computer-screen editing of effects.
You can tap tempos or lock them to MIDI clocks and the audio input will trigger tempos. Other features include: a graphical display with metering, tempo display, MIDI ports, push-button and footswitch control over dry and muted audio output. Lexicon at 781-280-0300.
