The three Flextone combo models use the unique technology of Line 6's flagship AxSys 212 digital guitar amp to offer a fully software driven guitar amp at a lower price. The Flextone uses physical modeling to emulate the sound of all the popular classic amplifiers. There are sixteen TubeTone Amp Models and sixteen, stereo digital effects on separate rotary switches.
A couple of the TubeTone Amp Models are called: Brit Classic (a simulation of a 1968 Marshall Plexi) or how about Tweed Blues (a 1959 Fender Bassman). There are no menus or layers of sub-menus to scroll through to arrive at a good sound. Once you select a tone/effect combination, you can store it in any of the amp's four, foot-switchable channels. Furthermore, you still have all the usual bass, mid, treble, drive, master volume and effect tweek knobs found on any good guitar amp.
The Flextone Series line includes: the Flextone 60 Watt 1X12 at $799; the Flextone Duo 100 Watt Stereo with 2X10 at $949; the Flextone Plus at $899, a 1X12 combo that runs 60 Watts mono or 50 Watts a channel in stereo mode with the addition of a single, matching 1X12 Flextone cabinet. Stereo mode takes full advantage of the stereo digital effects in all Flextone amps.
You can also add the FB4 foot-controller at $79 to toggle the four channels or at $299, the Floor Board that adds wah-wah, volume pedal, tap tempo (to synchronize delay times to your music), a digital tuner and twelve additional channel memory locations.
