The Flying Calf A/D is a professional S/PDIF Analog-to-Digital converter. The unit uses a 20-bit A/D converter with 128 times oversampling and a dynamic range of nearly 100dB. The small 6.3 inch by 3.6 inch by 1.2 inch steel chassis sports a single RCA S/PDIF digital output connector and two, 1/4 inch unbalanced audio input jacks. Sample rates are front panel selectable between 48kHz and 44.1kHz. Other pertinent data: input impedance is 10Kohms; frequency range is 20Hz to 22kHz, +/-0.5dB; and nominal input level is -10dBV up to a maximum input of 2 volts rms or +6dBV.
