The RD-150's improved 88-note hammer-action keyboard, slider-based volume control over two different sounds on the upper and lower keyboard splits, fixed velocity and stretch tuning capabilities take this well-known line to the next level. The sound engine has also been upgraded with stereo-sampled pianos using Sympathetic Resonance for natural sound across the entire range of the keyboard„even in the upper and lower registers.
There are 24 tones or sounds provided, including electric pianos, vibraphone, acoustic bass and others. There are built-in digital effects such as reverb and chorus effects and the RD-150 makes a great 88-note MIDI controller. As a MIDI controller, you can "fixed" velocity for organ playing or change tunings using the new Stretch Tuning function.
Audio connections to the RD-150 include 1/4-inch stereo and mono outputs, and dual stereo Headphone outputs. There are MIDI jacks and both Damper and Soft/Sostenuto Pedal jack inputs.
