Sony's Noise Reduction 2.0 for Sound Forge as well as other DirectX host applications now includes a new Clipped Peak Restoration Plug-In which can salvage a section of audio distorted from digital overload. Also featured are three tools for Noise Reduction: Click and Crackle Removal and Vinyl Restoration. The Click and Crackle Removal tool has a very handy function allowing you to monitor the removed audio to see what part of the music you have also removed along with the crackles. This feature works real-time only if you have a Pentium 200 mHz or faster system.
