Due to over demand for used A827 Studer Analog 24-Track Master Recorders, Studer has announced a final run of A827 Gold Edition machines. Once these machines are sold, no further production will occur. According to Billboard magazine, 70% of the hit records are still recorded on analog multitrack machines. These Gold Editions will be top-of-the-line handcrafted machines with a commemorative numbered ID plate, test generator, RS 232 card, audio channel remote and auto-locator with stand. There also will be a new head design that further reduces gap scatter added to these machines.
