The Superscope PSD300 is a portable CD recording system designed for music practice and transcription. It combines a professional CD recorder with a built-in CD player, mic, stereo mic inputs, and mixer. Musicians can play along to any music CD, and manipulate a song's key and tempo in real time. Musicians can also play and make live recordings, with or without CD accompaniment, directly to CD-R or CD-RW discs.
The Superscope PSD300 can adjust the tempo of any music CD as much as -33% to +50% without changing the music's original key (unlike standard pitch control found on some tape and CD machines). It can instantly transpose the music's key in musical half step increments or in 13-cent tunings without affecting tempo. The unit can also simultaneously change key and tempo. Also, portions of music can be easily slowed down and programmed to continuously loop for transcription and/or practice.
The PSD300 is a tabletop unit with mic/line EQ, noise filtering, and manual or automatic level controls. The recordings can be played back on any CD player that reads finalized CD-R or CD-RW music discs. The PSD300 also functions as a 2X speed stand-alone duplicator, for making perfect digital copies of any disc, including CD-R/RW discs recorded on the machine itself. A music teacher, for example, might record an ensemble's practice session and provide CDs for each student. It includes RCA analog and digital outputs. The PSD300 sells for $1,099 MSRP and you can check 866-371-4773 for information on where to buy. Go to: www.superscopetechnologies.com/products/PSD300/index.htm.
