The US-428 is a hardware interface for either Mac or Windows-based music sequencer/workstation systems. The US-428 uses the popular USB (Universal Serial Bus) port common to both of these computer platforms. There are eight faders that operate the "on-screen" virtual faders. This gives you the tactile feeling of moving real faders rather than using a mouse to move on-screen faders. The US-428 has a bank select button to switch between groups of eight faders when mixing large numbers of tracks as well as a jog wheel for quickly scrolling through your song. The US-428 has tape transport buttons and equalizer knobs to support most of the popular sequencers and DAWs (that's Digital Audio Workstation) There are no additional interface cards to install and the US will also work with software that uses standard MIDI controller data.
