Double Drive has two distortion signal pathes. There is Drive A for Class A tube-type distortion with loads of even harmonics (2nd, 4th, 6th Octave) and then Drive A/B with Class AB distortion with more odd harmonic series overtones. Either Drive distortion can be used individually or mixed together in cascade (series) with different amounts of Drive A and A/B for just the right sound to fit your guitar and your playing. With Drive controls at minimum, you'll get a clean boost of up to 10dB.
Other cool things: a Tone control that shifts the center frequency of a high cut filter anywhere from 1kHz to 10kHz; a super high (1 megOhm) input impedance for no guitar pickup loading; 1/4 inch jacks in and out; a low1kOhm output impedance for properly driving long cords back to your amp without sound loss; and a smooth and silent-switching custom bypass switch. Running on a single nine-volt or the optional Tech 21 DC2 power supply, Double Drive sells for $125 MSRP.
