Yamaha RGX820Z Guitar

The Yamaha RGX820Z electric guitar offers a very useful feature: there is an additional piezo bridge pickup that gives you the sound of an acoustic steel string guitar (that would also be equipped with a piezo pickup) at the flip of a switch. The guitar has a modern Rock shape/look (but not Jetson-like) body built from solid alder with a 25.5-inch bolt-on maple neck, 22-fret rosewood fretboard and flame maple veneer top.
A Yamaha tremolo bridge system, translucent pickup bezels, black Sperzel locking tuners and a choice of Amberburst, Deep Bluburst and Trans Dark Red finishes complete this barn burner's story. There are Seymour Duncan 59 (neck) and JB (bridge) magnetic humbucking bridge pickups with a blend knob to mix the magnetic and piezo pickups to a single output jack. Additionally, there are separate piezo and magnetic pickup outputs for another sound option: using separate amplifiers for a layered combination and/or processing of electric/acoustic sounds...in stereo if you like.
The 820 sells for $1,299 MSRP and for more check Yamaha Corporation of America, Pro Audio & Combo Division, Guitar Products, in Buena Park, CA. Telephone 714-522-9011 or visit www.yamaha.com/guitars.
