The centerpiece is the Hosa Drive Bluetooth Audio Receiver that is offered with a selection of interconnection cables to connect it to any existing audio system--even pro studio setups. The Drive Receiver uses the latest version 3.0 technology to wirelessly stream music at up to 24 Mbps. Stream from a smartphone or other portable music player to any playback system with minimal lag or signal loss.
With a push of a single button on the Drive Receiver, it quickly "paired" with my iPhone 6 and then I used a set of cables provided to connect the Drive's 1/8-inch stereo output jack directly to my studio's monitor auxiliary controller input. There are additional built-in track controls on the "hockey puck" size Drive Receiver for remotely controlling your music device--implementation of this feature varies with your device.
I found the range to be about 33-feet away and you get about 10 hours operation per charge over a mini USB connection. I streamed music from iTunes and it sounded great just like using a high quality audio cable. The Hosa Drive kit includes a 3.5 mm TRS-to-TRS aux cable and USB charging cable.
The Hosa Drive Series cables are ready for any interface requirement are: 3.5 mm TRS to TRS, and 3.5 mm TRS to Dual RCA in 1.5, 3, 6, and 10-foot lengths. These cables feature metal connectors made to fit media players and smartphones--even phones in protective cases.
At your next party, plan on having your guests stream their favorite music directly from their phones to your stereo without wires--this is so much fun!
The Hosa Drive Bluetooth Audio Receiver sells for $54.95 MSRP. The Hosa Drive Stereo Audio Cables and Hosa Drive Stereo Breakout Cables range from MSRP $14.95 to $34.95. Check: hosatech.com/product/ibt-300/.
