The AT2020USBi is a cardioid-only condenser USB Microphone; it features iOS compatibility and new connectivity options. The AT2020USBi uses an A/D converter with up to 24-bit/96 kHz sample rates making it perfect for home studios, field recording, podcasting and voiceover use.
The AT2020USBi works with both USB and Lightning cables (included), so you can connect it easily to digitally capture audio on PCs, Macs or iOS devices such as an iPad. I like the integrated gain control--no menus to crawl through--just quickly reset gain "on-the-fly" directly on the microphone.
The AT2020USBi weighs about 350 grams and works with PCs running Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 and Mac OS X and iOS devices. There is a foldup tripod desk stand included for secure and easily portable tabletop use. Other accessories are 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 threaded adapter; soft protective pouch; 4.9-ft (1.5-m) USB cable and 4.9-ft (1.5-m) Lightning cable.
The AT2020USBi sells for $199 street price. For more information, check www.audio-technica.com.
