Good Fortune Industries' Phil The Tip Jar
Good Fortune Industries' Phil The Tip Jar

Phil the Tip Jar is an automated and interactive tip jar. I'm looking at it right now on my desktop--a colorful mini-light show with a slot in the top and another smaller slot at its base. This is the ultimate replacement for that gold fish bowl or beer mug you would place near the bar's cash register or at the entrance at your gig. Hopefully, your audience will appreciate you enough to stuff in cash tips.

This makes that more fun and talked about!

Phil The Tip Jar is a 26-cm (10.25 inches) tall by 14-cm (5.6-inches) diameter cylinder made mostly from plastic that will automate the process of collecting tips and providing business cards, fortune cards, announcements, jokes, riddles, fun facts and contest entry blanks---whatever you like.

Especially good for performing musicians and standup comedians who cannot monitor a tip jar and/or pass out flyers too, Phil can help with giving a chuckle to audiences, increase the amount of tips and at the same time gather contact information and/or distribute information about upcoming gigs.

Bands could make up contests and shout outs based on cards filled out by the audience--there are loads of possible ways to use your Phil The Tip Jar! It is all happening with this small and entertaining electro-mechanical servant.

Just drop money into the contoured slot in the top and you'll hear an audible "ka-ching" cash register sound and then a card the size of a standard business card will be dispensed automatically at the bottom. It works unattended and there is enough room for lots of cash!

It works like this: the slot has an infrared motion sensor to detect bills inserted--although sometimes coins will also work too. The LED light show runs through a cycle of blue, red and green or you can lock in one of those colors or turn that feature off. The "ka-ching" sound can be turned off if you want and Phil The Tip Jar runs on an included 5-volt wall-wart power supply.

Plans for a battery pack are in the works for events where there is no nearby AC power--such as for outdoor festivals or barbeques. In addition, custom branding and colors etc. will be available later in 2019.

Phil the Tip Jar is now available online for $195 MSRP.
