Karl Perazzo Timbales from LP Music

Not a trivial nametag for a new set of timbales from LP Music Karl Perazzo, before joining Santana in 1991, had by the age of twelve already played with Cal Tjader, Malo, Ray Obeido and Andy Narell. Carlos Santana, with his band's signature percussive sound, might have been for a lot of kids growing up in the Sixties their first exposure to the timbale--a mainstay of Latin music.
The LP Karl Perazzo Timbales feature steel shells with an unique antique bronze finish that is durable and the optimum weight to promote bright, full cascara stick work. The center-of-head rimshot sounds are penetrating and offer a balanced palette of frequencies essential to the timbalero's craft.
Available in standard 14-inch and 15-inch diameters, they come with premium plastic heads, gold hardware and sell for $545 MSRP. More at www.lpmusic.com
