Peavey's new JF-2 guitar is an archtop semi-hollow body based on Peavey's JF-1 jazz/fusion guitar. This rockabilly-flavored guitar plays like the JF-1 jazz box but adds high-output pickups, a vintage tremolo tailpiece and a bling sparkle finish. The JF-2 has a thin, lightweight maple ply guitar body with a solid veneer top; mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard; GroverŪ tuning keys; and cream binding.
Electronics include two volume and tone controls and a three-way toggle-style pickup selector. Other specs are: 24 3/4-inch scale with 22 frets; a slightly angled, set mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard; chrome hardware; and two high-output Peavey mini-bucking pickups. The guitar is available in gold sparkle, silver sparkle and red sparkle paint jobs. Buy it for $499 MSRP, and learn more at www.peavey.com
