Omnicharge Power Banks
 Omni Ultimate

I received two new Omnicharge™ Power Banks for review. They are the Omni 20+ ($199 MSRP) and the Omni Ultimate ($399 MSRP) with a removable battery pack. Both models are portable rechargeable battery packs that will power just about any USB 2, 3 or C device as well as provide a direct 5-Volt DC output. Besides providing DC battery power, both have DC-to-AC inverters that enable them to supply 120-volt (US) AC power to run most small household appliances such as lights, TVs, radios, small powered monitor speakers or even a small guitar amp. 230-volt (EU) AC power versions are also available.

Both models have OLED screens that indicate: a calibrated state of energy remaining in a percentage, internal battery temperature, DC output voltage setting, and the battery's output wattage. Since all outputs are available at the same time, by using the onscreen controller, you may select which outputs to activate: AC, USB or DC sockets.

I found both models to charge from the supplied 19-volt DC power supply in around an hour--even when fully discharged. They are also rechargeable from any power source including solar or your car's cigarette lighter socket; the DC input/output socket takes any voltage from 5 to 25-volts DC. Both models are TSA approved making long flights a perfect occasion for using one of these when USB sockets with enough current capability or reliable AC power sockets are not available.

 Omni 20+

The Omni 20+ is a 20,000mAH power bank and weighs 1.35 lbs., measures 5 X 4.8-inches, and is about an inch thick; it's perfect for your backpack for camping. The Omni 20+ includes a 10-watt wireless charging induction coil on its top that will charge your phone--actually you can charge up several phones one after another. The Omni 20+, when fully charged, ran my 32-inch TV for a total of 65 minutes. I also tried powering a pair of Kali Audio IN-5 three-way studio monitor loudspeakers. The Omni 20+ powered them both playing music at a medium volume for over three hours.

The larger Omni Ultimate is a 38,400mAH power bank that weighs 3lbs. and has double the internal power cells of the Omni 20+. It ran the same TV for over 2 hours. Although it does not include the wireless charging feature, both units charge up using the same included power supply. I liked the variable DC voltage output that's available and adjustable on the front panel from 20 to 12-volts DC making the Omni Ultimate perfect for the exacting power demands of many electronic devices used on film/TV/live recording location work that are away from reliable DC or AC power sources.

The problem of running out of battery power for your phone, laptop, tablet, video camera, drone, portable audio mixer, is now easily solved with either of these new Omnicharge™ Power Banks. Highly recommended! www.omnicharge.co/
