This latest Beatle tome spotlights the "quiet Beatle", George Harrison. In the most loving way, Leng chronicles Harrison musical career from the early years with the Beatles through the recording of all their albums and then later, in greater depth, his songwriting collaborations outside of the Beatles, individual solo records, soundtracks and film projects. Each of these events are thoroughly covered with dates, co-writer credits, musicians' names, significant contributions and influences of others, a critique of the quality of Harrison's guitar playing and vocal performance and even portions of magazine/newspaper reviews by the Pop music critics at the time.

Of special interest are Leng's in-depth analyses of each of Harrison's songs where the guitar player's vast and varied musical interests and styles were incorporated. You'll come to find out that Bob Dylan influenced Harrison because of his lyric imagery and The Band because they were a radical departure from his ingrained 'idea' of a band he had during life as a Beatle.
