JBL's new subwoofers are engineered to interface with their acclaimed LSR4300 studio monitor speakers in 5.1 surround sound systems but they work great in any situation due to their inherently great design. A single, affordable LSR4312SP will put thunder into any studio monitoring system, stereo or surround, by extending the system's frequency response down into the 20Hz region.
The LSR subwoofer is based upon a 12-inch low-frequency transducer with a neodymium motor structure and is powered by a 450-watt amplifier. The unit's comprehensive input connections include a dedicated LFE (that's Low Frequency Effects) input and five, balanced XLR bass management inputs--one for each of the five speakers in your surround sound system. There is a selectable crossover for 5.1 surround sound production and a two-channel 24-bit, 96 kHz digital S/PDIF, and AES/EBU inputs that can be assigned as LFE or stereo bass management inputs.
The LSR4312SP is now available as a stand-alone product and as part of two affordable 5.1 system packages that include five LSR4328P or LSR4326P Studio Monitors, one LSR4312SP Subwoofer and accessory kit with calibration mic, remote control, LSR4300 Control Center Software, CAT5 and USB cables.
