Martin JC-16RE Aura Acoustic The JC-16RE Aura 16 Series 14-fret cutaway is the East Indian rosewood version of the Martin JC-16ME flamed maple guitar. On the RE, East Indian rosewood is used for the sides and back and the top, like the ME, is solid Sitka spruce. The fingerboard and bridge are made from striped ebony.

The Fishman Prefix Aura electronic pre-amp includes a programmable EQ, feedback control and digital chromatic tuner. These are the first J-sized Auras to be available. Until this point they've only been in used in D and OM sizes. The technology for creating each Aura is specific to each body shape, so they can't be interchanged like typical, add-on electronic packages.

There are six acoustic tones possible using the Martin Gold Plus under-the-saddle transducer. The Gold Plus system is ideal for small bodied or nylon guitars and sought out amongst finger stylists and solo performers.

Other features are: mortise and tenon neck joint; a single ring pearl inlay rosette; modified low oval neck shape; 25.4-inch scale length; 1 3/4-inch width at the nut; Abalone dot inlay; chrome tuners; 380 hardshell case and limited lifetime warranty.
