iDrum from iZotope

iDrum from iZotope iDrum is a virtual drum machine for OSX MACs that could not be simpler to program cool drum grooves. Essentially the graphical interface is set up like a grid with drum sounds (or any samples you like) listed one above the other in a horizontal list. To the right of each sound is a measure of 16th notes where you can click and adjust the velocity of a hit at any desired 16th note. You can tap out beats on an attached MIDI keyboard, or even using your Mac's computer keyboard!

After you master iDrum's basic architecture, then know that all of it is expandable and configurable to whatever format, time signatures, and looping methods you require. iDrum runs as both a standalone native OS X application or as a plug-in that syncs perfectly to the tempo grids in Pro Tools, GarageBand, Logic, and Ableton Live. iDrum comes with hundreds drum samples and kits arranged in nearly two hundred iDrum files, each with several au courant preset patterns and the ability to store up 99 patterns in a single file. iDrum comes with dozens of part presets--some very difficult to create and you can mix and match parts and samples between kits plus load your own .AIFF and .WAV drum samples up to 2MB large.

iDrum sells for $59.95 at www.izotope.com and is standalone, RTAS (Pro Tools 6.4+) and Audio Units up to 192 kHz. For Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later and also Universal Binary machines.
