AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Based on IK Multimedia's AmpliTube 2 DSM™ (Dynamic Saturation Modeling) technology and made in cooperation with Authentic Hendrix, LLC, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ is the first authentic software recreation of the complete guitar amp and effects rig used by Jimi Hendrix. This single product models Hendrix's (now vintage) collection of nine stomp boxes, four amplifiers, seven speaker cabinets with five different microphones--all the guitar gear that went into the production of this guitar legend's music. It's available as a VST, RTAS, AU plug-in and a standalone application, for MacOS X and Windows.

Users of AmpliTube 2 will instantly be at home with the intuitive GUI and find over 20 new models not previously available. You get models based on the Vox® Wah V846™, Maestro® FuzzTone™, Univox™ Uni-Vibe™, several exceedingly rare Roger Mayer™ fuzz stomp pedals, the Marshall® 1959 JTM100™ Super Lead, the Fender® Twin Reverb® and Dual Showman® amplifiers.

Once I loaded this new software into my Pro Tools rig, I had instant access to all these wonderful and old early effects stomp boxes and amps long out of print. I love the sound of the Maestro Fuzz and working the cool sounding wah-wah pedal with a mouse is a totally fun time! Also included are four studio effects such as: rotary speaker, stereo reverb, parametric EQ, and a tube compressor.

Like AmpliTube 2, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ uses five modules to build guitar sounds: tuner, stomp effects, amp heads, cabinets and mics and rack effects. You can switch between two selectable series/parallel guitar rig chains for building the most complex multiple amp setups possible--actually impossible in Hendrix's time! I felt like I was in the studio 'back in the day' with the same tools Hendrix had available--a realization that is bound to get the creative flow going for any guitar player.

Other cool additions are: a Hendrix discography with presets of the entire rigs used for each song; the standalone version has SpeedTrainer™ audio player with pitch and speed control; the boxed version has a Sonoma Wire Works' RiffWorks™ demo for recording/mixing riff-based tracks plus additional backing tracks using InstantDrummer™, Rex Player, and seven more effects, and over 250MB of Sonic Reality's R.A.W. Rock SE drum loops and grooves. AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix™ sells for $249MSRP and for more information visit: www.amplitube.com/hendrix
