LR Baggs Core 1 Acoustic Amplifier Designing a purpose-built amp for acoustic guitar amplification presents many different problems than for electric guitars. That's why it took three years for LR Baggs to develop the right blend of loudspeaker, analog and digital circuit technology to properly amplify acoustic guitar and vocals. It also doesn't hurt that, along the way, they came up with a cool industrial design and overall new look for this guitar amp.

The Core 1 starts with a 200-watt Class-D digital hi-fi amplifier driving a patented honeycomb loudspeaker that projects an ultra wide, 140-degree sound field. This wide sound field ensures that everyone in the audience (as well as the rest of the band on stage) hear the same quality of consistent sound.

The two input channels in the Core 1 are fully discrete analog circuits using LR Baggs' Para DI technology. Other features include effect loops in both channels, a modified spring reverb and a Garrett Null notch filter to easily manage feedback from an acoustic guitar body.

Housed in a beautiful and durable molded enclosure with natural wood sides, the Core 1 sells for $1,599 MSRP and for much more information, go to: www.lrbaggs.com for more information.
