Godin 5th Avenue Archtop

Canadian manufacturer Godin has revoiced the traditional archtop acoustic guitar and made it accessible to all players with the 5th Avenue Archtop. After a few strums I found the projection and volume in the low-midrange frequencies better than traditional archtop acoustic guitars so coaxing a fat sound out of it was a pleasure. With the body, top and sides made from Canadian wild cherry wood, the 5th Avenue features a molded arched top and back, as well as an adjustable rosewood bridge, classic F-holes, floating pickguard and cream binding. The neck has a 24.84-inch scale and is made from silver leafed maple with a contoured high-gloss black headstock. The custom polished finish creates a gorgeous satin sheen reminiscent of the French polish of the 19th century. The color finishes available are: Cognac Burst (pictured), Natural and Black.
The 5th Avenue Archtop sells for $625 MSRP and for much more go: www.godinguitars.com
