Godin 5th Avenue Archtop

Godin 5th Avenue Archtop Canadian manufacturer Godin has revoiced the traditional archtop acoustic guitar and made it accessible to all players with the 5th Avenue Archtop. After a few strums I found the projection and volume in the low-midrange frequencies better than traditional archtop acoustic guitars so coaxing a fat sound out of it was a pleasure. With the body, top and sides made from Canadian wild cherry wood, the 5th Avenue features a molded arched top and back, as well as an adjustable rosewood bridge, classic F-holes, floating pickguard and cream binding. The neck has a 24.84-inch scale and is made from silver leafed maple with a contoured high-gloss black headstock. The custom polished finish creates a gorgeous satin sheen reminiscent of the French polish of the 19th century. The color finishes available are: Cognac Burst (pictured), Natural and Black.

The 5th Avenue Archtop sells for $625 MSRP and for much more go: www.godinguitars.com
