The Spider Valve MkII guitar amp is the latest collaboration between Line 6 and Reinhold Bogner. With this amp you get the flexibility of world-class modeling and the performance of a boutique-style tube amp.
The Spider Valve line starts with three models: two 40-watt combos and a 100-watt head. There are plenty of tubes in these models: two 12AX7 preamp tubes in each combo and four in the head. This line up is said to combine with Line 6's modeling to deliver creamy, cascading distortion and enriched tube harmonics. The Bogner-designed power amp sections have two matched 6L6 power tubes in each combo and four in the head. The combos come with Celestion® Vintage 30 speakers.
Line 6 stepped up to the plate with 16 rich-sounding amp models and 20 brilliant on-board Smart FXs. The on-board effects leave nothing out--there are useful collections of delightful delays, massive modulations and realistic reverbs. Things go ultra-modern with an intelligent pitch-shifter, a built-in looper, auto-wah and more. Spider Valve MkII amplifiers holds up to 128 user-programmed presets all controlled by the Line 6 FBV foot-controller. The FBV has a volume/wah pedal, a tap tempo button for all time-based effects, and control over Pitch Glide. An easy-to-read LCD chromatic tuner display is included.
