Robbie Nevil and Jon wrote a song for Southside Johnny. Jon came over to Steven Dubin's house/studio to sing the demo. I happened to have a good, tube AKG C-12 microphone around and I decided to use it. Jon remarked that it's one of his favorite mics. He sang in the control room with everybody wearing headphones. He produced his own vocal and finished in no time. The song was not used but working with Jon Bon Jovi was a kick.
