One of Oliver 's major successes is Paula Abdul's "Forever
Your Girl" album. Oliver wrote and produced several of the songs including "Opposites
Attract." We met working together on a project for RCA/BMG called "The Songs of West Side Story," where producer David Pack commissioned Olly to rework the track on the song "Something's Coming." Oliver has his own recording studio in the Hollywood Hills. He play's drums, keyboards but excels on guitar. In fact, he has also played guitar for Rod Stewart on the road (stint ended 1/99), as well as on Rod's album "When We Were The New Boys." I think Olly is a tremendously talented artist who lives up to his family heritage. His father Jerry Leiber, is one half of the legendary Leiber/Stoller writing team that wrote MANY hit songs of the '50's, '60's and '70's. I continue to enjoy working with Olly.
UPDATE!
Oliver finishes up the first single for American Idol judge Randy Jackson's Randy Jackson's Music Club Vol. 1 album. The video (with Olly playing guitar) was featured during the 2008 Super Bowl game.
